LRWA will hold our Annual Training & Technical Conference in Alexandria, LA (July 13-18,2008). The conference will provide you with the latest information on technical, managerial, and regulatory issues facing the rural water industry. There are sessions designed for everyone. The Conference will be held in the following places:
Alexandria Exhibition & Riverfront Center,
Alexander Fulton (formerly Holiday Inn Convention Centre)
Convention Hall (across the street from the Hotel Bentley)

Everyone should attend. There will be courses for board/council members, system operators, office managers, secretaries, clerks, superintendents, engineers, etc. All courses will be held at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre and/or the Hotel Bentley. FAMILIES:
LRWA invites attendees to bring their families to the conference.  However, we asked that all children have adult supervision at all times during the conference.  The attending adult will be held responsible for the child's and/or children's actions.  The exhibit hall is not a place for children to play.  There are vendors with very expensive equipment and LRWA doesn't want anyone hurt.  Spouse/Guest and/or children are not allowed to complete the sign-in (Exhibitor initial sheet); only the attendee registered for the course is eligible for door prizes.

EXHIBIT HALL PASS:
If you are not enrolled for a course and wish to view the exhibits only, you will need to purchase an Exhibit Hall Pass. If other personnel from your system wish to view the exhibit hall they must come to the Registration Desk to purchase a pass.  LRWA will allow an attendee to have their spouse or 1 guest as well as children under 17 to enter at no additional charge. System Personnel $35 - Member Price, $50 - Non-Member Price, Vendors $50 - Member Price, $100 - Non-Member Price.

CANCELLATIONS:
Should you need to cancel your registration at any time for any reason, there will be a $50 processing fee before July 1, 2008.

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

Please contact the LRWA Office if your company will be hosting a Hospitality room. We will publish this information in our final conference agenda.

Exhibitors may not sublet or assign any of their space to others.

Advertising or canvassing outside the individual exhibitor’s booth is prohibited.

Combustible materials and explosives are prohibited; fire extinguishers and exits must not be obstructed.

No public address system will be allowed. Any audio/visual presentation equipment must be limited to the hearing area of the booth. LRWA will not be accountable for copyrighted music.

Exhibitors may not distribute food or beverages unless approved through the Alexandria Exhibition & Riverfront Center.

We do have room available for outside exhibits, although there is no security outside. The Alexandria Exhibition & Riverfront Center does have security inside the building at all times. If you wish to have your equipment (trailer) inside the building you will need to purchase booth space to accommodate the equipment. You will also need to inform the LRWA Office on the size and weight of equipment (Center has weight limit).

Exhibitors shall assume all responsibility for any loss, damage or injury they may cause, and they shall hold harmless the LRWA and the Alexandria Exhibition & Riverfront Center.

Exhibitors will not be allowed to break down their exhibits until 1:00pm on Wednesday, unless arrangements have been made in advance through the LRWA Office.

Registration Includes:
8’ X 10’ exhibit space with one 6’ table and 2 chairs, poled and draped, a 500 watt electrical outlet, exhibitor name sign, and 2 banquet tickets.

Assignment will be given on FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE BASIS. Registration Deadline is July 1.
LRWA cannot hold booth spaces. Your check and registration must be postmarked by July 1.

Registration without payment will not be processed until payment is received. Full payment must be received with this agreement. Please make checks payable to Louisiana Rural Water Association.

Drawing for prizes and/or gifts donated by the exhibitors will be held
Wednesday and Thursday, at 12:00 noon in the Pre-function Area. (Where meals are served)
