Job Title: Chief Wastewater Operator

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for all activities involving the operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment systems. The supervisor is responsible for wastewater plant operators, technicians, and laborers, and works under the general direction of the Utilities Manager.
Duties:
Prepares, Reviews, evaluates, revises, establishes and implements policies and procedures used in treatment of wastewater that result in Safe, Compliant, Reliable, and Profitable operations
Directs day-to-day activities and schedules of assigned staff and participates in review and evaluation of staff performance related to wastewater systems. Follows company discipline policy when needed.
Follows and implements Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies
Implement and foster the coaching and development of employees, including idea generation, within respective functional areas
Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations and all customers.
Performs work on wastewater treatment systems. Maintains work records and preventative maintenance records and prepares various reports as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of the layout, location and equipment characteristics of wastewater systems.
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations for areas of responsibility.
Must possess a high school diploma or GED, plus at least five (5) years progressively responsible experience in supervision of operations, maintenance and administration of wastewater systems and treatment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for experience.
Possession of a Class III Treatment / Collection Certification
Must possess a valid state driver’s license, CDL preferred

Density Services is taking applications for a water treatment operator position. This position requires the operator to work a regular 8:00 to 5:00 schedule with some night and weekend call outs. All levels of operators are being interviewed for this position, as well as those with a high school diploma or GED and the desire to become certified.
The candidates must have a solid work ethic, integrity, drive and be knowledgeable in the field of wastewater systems maintenance and repair. The candidate must be able to maintain and perform calibration of monitoring equipment. Excellent knowledge and hands on experience with wastewater treatment equipment, clarifiers, pumps, treatment chemicals, and chlorination systems is preferred.
Qualifications for this position are:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent
2. Valid Louisiana Drivers License with a good driving record
3. Must be able to read, write, and perform mathematical computations
3. Be physically able to climb, lift and carry 50 lbs., work outdoors
5. Mechanical aptitude with problem diagnosis and solving skills
6. If not in possession of a valid Operator License must be able to obtain one in a timely manner

AAA OPERATIONS, INC. located in Dumont Colorado (35 miles west of Denver) is looking for energetic, hard working and professional water and wastewater operators for small systems management in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Our clientele includes Water Districts, Wastewater Districts, Water and Sanitation Districts, Ski Areas, private businesses, USFS, etc…
Must be certified and experienced in water and wastewater operations, maintenance and management, including paperwork (process controls, regulatory and compliance), preventive maintenance, calibrations, sampling, laboratory, plumbing, electrical, etc… We need “all around” operators that can handle maintenance situations as they arise at the small systems, know what they are doing and have a lot of fun in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado doing it.
Our systems include, activated sludge package and designed plants, SBRs, lagoons, groundwater treatment, surface water treatment including cartridges, conventional, membranes, etc… all small systems of 500,000 gpd and less.
Must have a good driving record, be physically fit, be a self starter, computer literate, have good verbal and writing skills, be certified in water and wastewater with at least 2 years experience and pass a drug and background check.
